Cinnamon Brown Sugar French Toast Waffles

1.75 oz (half tub) Epicurean Butter Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Flavored Butter
½ cup half-and-half
½ tsp kosher salt
bread slices (Texas toast, brioche, or challah varieties recommended, but any bread will work well)
garnish: more Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Flavored Butter, maple syrup, whipped cream, powdered sugar, apple slices
Heat waffle iron to medium high or 375°F.
In a microwave-safe bowl, gently melt Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Flavored Butter in the microwave in 20 second increments.
Crack eggs into a large bowl. Add half-and-half and salt to the eggs, and beat with a fork or whisk until well combined.
Add melted butter to the egg mixture and continue beating. (It’s okay if butter begins to congeal or bead - this will not affect cooking or flavor.)
Spray waffle iron on both sides with cooking spray.
Dip bread slices into eggy liquid and carefully transfer to the waffle iron. (If bread is very thick or dry, you can soak it for a few minutes before waffling.)
Close waffle iron and let cook for 4-7 minutes depending on the thickness of the bread. The exterior should be a crispy, golden brown when ready.
Remove and serve waffles with your favorite French Toast garnish.
If making a large batch, keep the first rounds of waffles warm on a wire rack set on a baking sheet in a 200 degree oven. These also freeze well!
